Indoor Air Quality (IAQ)

The indoor environment can significant impact the health and comfort of building occupants.  Understanding IAQ can help reduce those risks.  Typical IAQ topics include:

Mold: Although there are no accepted national or international standards for mold assessment and remediation, there are several guidance documents provided by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA).

Comfort Parameters: Several factors can affect the comfort of building occupants, including carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, temperature, humidity, and volatile organic compounds (VOC) generating products and building materials

LEED Air Testing: Prior to occupancy of a new construction, air testing is conducted to determine the levels of particulates, carbon monoxide, VOCs and formaldehyde.
